Film club is reel success

THE Edinburgh Cine Society – the oldest club of its kind in Scotland – has celebrated 75 years in amateur filmmaking.

To mark its anniversary, members have made a special DVD showing the transformation in film technology. The film was premiered at the club premises, in Fettes Row,
yesterday.

The society was founded in 1936 as the Waverley Cine Society but later changed its name. It aims to promote filmmaking in Edinburgh.
