Festive party for cemetery

A FESTIVE fundraiser is taking place this weekend to raise cash for the restoration of more than 50 headstones vandalised at a West Lothian graveyard.

The Christmas party night will take place at East Calder Bowling Club on Saturday.

A committee was set up this year to raise funds for the restoration of the 51 damaged headstones at East Calder Cemetery.

It hopes to raise £15,000 to cover the work and is appealing to residents, schools and businesses to offer their support.
