Festival is fit as a fiddle again this year

ONE of the UK’s largest fiddle festivals is returning to the Capital next month after concerns that its future was under threat.

Fiddle 2011 will showcase top musical talent at The Queen’s Hall and King’s Hall, both Clerk Street, from November 18-20, with ceilidhs taking place at nearby Pollock Halls.

Doubts had been cast over the fate of the festival following a major refurbishment of the Assembly Rooms, its home since launching in 1996. But organisers have secured new venues to ensure this year’s event can go ahead.
