Female motorbiker dies after fall on M9
A FEMALE motorcyclist has been killed after falling from her bike on a busy motorway.
The incident occurred at the recently reopened Junction 1a of the M9 near Kirkliston at 1.40pm.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Road Policing Officers responded to Junction 1A of the M9 at around 1.40pm on Monday May 6 after a female motorcyclist came off her bike while travelling north.
“The Scottish Ambulance service were also in attendance and the woman was taken to the RIE, where was pronounced dead.
“The road was closed for several hours.
