Faulty pump sprays woman

A WOMAN was treated by paramedics after she was showered in fuel at a petrol station in the Capital.

A faulty nozzle of a pump at the Tesco garage in Meadow Place Road, Corstorphine, was blamed for the incident, which saw petrol shoot out at a high speed and cover the 64-year-old woman yesterday.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics after the liquid squirted into her face and eyes, although she did not require hospital treatment.

The fire service also attended the incident, at around 5pm, after petrol flooded the forecourt.
