Fatal crash claims a second victim

A TWO-CAR collision at a Perthshire accident blackspot has claimed a second victim.

Tayside Police confirmed that one of the two elderly pensioners injured in a fatal crash at the Tibbermore junction on the Perth to Madderty road on 28 September has died in Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital. She has been named as Elizabeth Southwood, 83, of Oakbank Road, Perth.

Mrs Southwood was the widow of Alastair Southwood, the managing director of, a Perth car and truck dealership.

An 82 year-old woman, a passenger in the same car, remains in a stable condition at Ninewells. Rhoda Lawton, 78, of Viewlands Road, Perth died at the scene of the crash.
