Fatal cliff plunge victim named

A MAN who died after falling 20ft from a cliff on to rocks has been named by police as Robert Gordon Harkess, 69, from East Linton, East Lothian.

The accident took place at Tyninghame Links, near Dunbar, at about 8:10am on Thursday. After an operation involving the Coastguard and the RAF, Mr Harkess was airlifted to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he died later.
