Farm blaze causes £300,000 damage

POLICE are investigating a fire which caused an estimated £30,000 damage at a farm.

More than 600 bales of hay were discovered alight in a barn at Herdhillmuir Farm near Kirriemuir, Angus, at about 10pm on Wednesday.

Tayside Police said they are keen to trace someone seen close by holding a torch, shortly before the blaze started.
