A MAN who died following a collision between a car and a lorry has been described as a doting father by his family.

Ross Graham, 22, of Sighthill View, died at the scene of the weekend crash on Wester Hailes Road.

He was heading south in his Honda CRX car when it was involved in the collision with the lorry, which was negotiating Clovenstone roundabout at the time.

A 26-year-old woman, Christina Vibert, a passenger in the car, was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where she is still being treated for serious injuries.

The lorry driver was uninjured.

Mr Graham’s family today spoke of their shock at his death in a statement released through Lothian and Borders Police.

“Ross was a much-loved son, grandson and brother. He was also a doting father to Cali,” his relatives said.

“We are all deeply shocked by what has happened and we pray that Christina will pull through.”

Mr Graham and Ms Vibert, who were a couple, welcomed baby daughter Cali into the world less than two months ago.

The crash happened at about 1.30pm on Sunday and police officers and ambulance crews attended the scene.

The road was closed for five hours while police carried out an investigation.

Officers have asked anyone who can help their enquiries to come forward immediately.
