Famed pub is revamped

One of the oldest pubs in Scotland is undergoing a major revamp.

The Sheep Heid in Duddingston, which was established in 1360 and was said to have been a favourite of former monarchs and poets, is also under new ownership and will boast a fresh menu.

New landlord David Jardine said: “The Sheep Heid is a pub with so much history that we have had to be very sensitive with the restoration to ensure we maintain the charm and character found in every nook and cranny.”
