F&C Reit is proposing to extend Eastgate Shopping Centre in Inverness and add additional floors to accommodate the project, which they claim could create 220 jobs.

The expansion would entail a seven-figure investment, but the owners claim to have already had interest from operators keen to fill the proposed extra units.

A planning application for the project, which has been welcomed as a major boost to the city’s economy, has been lodged with Highland Council.
