Exhibits are out of Africa

AFRICAN objects which are to form part of a major exhibition in the Capital next year are being shown to the public tonight.

Dr Sarah Worden, from the National Museum of Scotland, will lead a lecture on items which retain great importance in the modern day.

The objects discussed will be featured in three of the new "World Cultures" galleries opening at the attraction in 2011.

Dr Worden said: "We will find out what they meant in people's lives."

The lecture takes place in the "Early People" gallery at 7pm.
