Ex-soldier jailed for stealing medals

Former paratrooper Simon Rogers, 29, was jailed for three years yesterday after he admitted stealing comrades' medals.

Rogers, formerly of 2 Parachute Regiment based in Colchester, stole medals awarded to four soldiers who had served in Iraq and Afghanistan and sold them on the online auction website Ebay.
