Ex-pub boss loses licence

Emerald Eaton, who was in charge of the GRV on Guthrie Street, was criticised after the council heard of various difficulties which occurred while she was manager.

Police said they had concerns about the pub's electricity supply and a disturbance which had taken place related to the venue, even though it occurred three miles away.

Councillors said, as manager, she was ultimately responsible.
