Evolution of a poetry event

YOUNG adults have performed a poetry reading alongside one of Scotland's leading poets at a special Charles Darwin-inspired event.

The reading, with Anita Govan, at North Edinburgh Arts Centre, formed part of an Evolving Words project, which marked Darwin's 200th birthday.

It saw 14 to 25-year-olds from six UK cities working alongside poets and science teachers.

Edinburgh participants worked alongside Ms Govan, NEAC and the National Library of Scotland.
