European election result to be delayed

THE results of the European elections in Scotland will not be declared until four days after the poll, it emerged yesterday.

Voters go to the polls on Thursday, 4 June, and all but one of Scotland's 32 council areas are likely to declare their results on the evening of Sunday, 7 June, to allow overseas voting to finish.
