Rescued otters best of friends

Two orphaned otters found in a post office and a restaurant will be released together after becoming inseparable.

Four-month-old pair Roy and Linnhe were rescued by the Scottish SPCA after separately finding their way into restaurant, in Fort William, and a post office, in the nearby village of Caol in the Highlands in February.

The otters are now being cared for at the charity’s Middlebank wildlife centre near Dunfermline.

Centre manager Colin Seddon said: “We introduced Roy and Linnhe to one another around two weeks after they arrived in our care. Both cubs are making a fantastic recovery and have become inseparable.

“Roy and Linnhe have formed a very close bond and even curl up in a ball to keep each other warm when they’re sleeping.”
