Pictures: Christmas meal for Scottish snow monkeys

THE HIGHLAND Wildlife Park’s troop of snow monkeys were treated to a festive feast by their keepers today.

The troop, the only group of the monkeys in the UK, were given a range of foods and treats.

Some of the food was attached to Christmas trees which had been erected inside the enclosure at the Kingussie park.

The Christmas enrichment is a seasonal extension of a daily enrichment programme for the monkeys that aim to encourage natural behaviours, such as foraging for food, and problem solving skills, as well as providing important mental stimulation.
