Big switch–off in Scots climate campaign

SOME 10,000 people in Scotland will switch off their lights in unison at 8:30 tonight to mark an environmental charity’s climate change campaign.

Earth Hour, started by WWF in 2007, aims to highlight the impact climate change is having on people and nature. By yesterday, 8,886 Scots had signed up, and the final total is expected to reach five figures.
