Entertaining times in city

City council chiefs have praised the Capital’s line-up of sporting and cultural events over the last year.

Highlights included the visit of Pope Benedict XVI, the “super September of sport” and the reopening of the City Art Centre, Glenogle Swim Centre and Usher Hall.

Alastair Maclean, director of corporate governance, said: “The council delivered a range of events which were enjoyed by participants and spectators from all over the world.”
