Elijah banks on museum

Six-year-old Elijah McCallum gets a close look at one of Edinburgh’s oldest piggy banks.

The youngster was among children from Prestonfield Primary School who were given a chance to view some of the Museum of Childhood’s impressive collection of piggy banks.

The museum is running a workshop on Saturday for children to come along and construct their own piggy banks, and allowed the pupils to see the historic examples to provide some inspiration for their own creations.
