Filmmakers engage in Capital

FILMMAKERS from ten different countries have arrived in the Capital to take part in a week-long conference.

The 24 young writers, directors and producers are involved in the Engage initiative, led by the Screen Academy Scotland at Napier University.

They are taking part in a week of lectures, workshops and masterclasses with prominent film industry figures.

Robin MacPherson, director of Screen Academy Scotland and Engage, said: "We are delighted to host this third and final workshop of Engage, bringing together young talent from across Europe and helping them understand how the industry works and how it is changing."

They will be working with film industry experts including Sally Hibbin, producer of A Very British Coup and Blind Flight, and Peter Broughan, producer of Rob Roy and The Flying Scotsman.
