Edinburgh man among A9 crash fatalities

A MAN from Edinburgh was among the fatalities following a car crash on the A9 on Friday evening.

31-year-old Michael Joyce, from the Canongate area, was a front-seat passenger in one of the cars involved in the collision just north of Perth.

A seven-year-old boy, Cole Gibson from Lochgelly, Fife, also died in the accident, while the female driver of the silver Renault Kangoo is stable in hospital.

From the other car, two other females were injured.

Tayside police have launched a full investigation and are appealing for witnesses.
