Edinburgh exhibition shows images of Afghan war

VISITORS are being encouraged to see an exhibition of images documenting the war in Afghanistan.

Helmand: Faces of Conflict features the photography of Robert Wilson, a war artist with Edinburgh's 52 Infantry Brigade, whose series captured details from the rocket pod on an Apache helicopter to an unfinished jigsaw at base camp. The free exhibition is on display at the National War Museum in Edinburgh Castle until 31 January.
