Edinburgh Council staff vote to end action

DOZENS more council workers have agreed to end their industrial action.

Gravediggers and waste disposal staff have been taking part in a work-to-rule alongside bin men and street cleaners for nearly a year.

But they have voted in a ballot to end their action and return to normal work. It comes after street cleaners agreed to return to work last week.

More than half of the 600 workers who have been on a work-to-rule since the end of last June have now opted to end their action.
