The tech giant’s shop is due to open at the east end of Princes Street on Saturday October 18 at 10am.

It will be Apple’s 38th store in the UK.

Almost £1 million has been spent by the company fitting out the landmark site across from the Balmoral Hotel.

Mystery had surrounded the opening date of the store with the company saying nothing since confirming earlier this year that the building would in fact house an Apple store.

The retail outlet will house the range of Apple products, along with daily workshops, technical advice and support.

The opening will come two days after the tech giant’s latest product launch event, rumoured to be a new iPad Air.
