East Linton’s railway hope

THE prospect of a train station returning to East Linton has been boosted after a fact-finding visit to the area by Transport Minister Keith Brown MSP.

He was welcomed by East Lothian Council leader Paul McLennan, who said: “The minister is enthusiastic about improving rail transport in East Lothian and the Borders and he listened closely to our case of how better services would revitalise the local area both economically and socially. We also showed him where a restored station would be situated.”
