Dutch of the Netherlands for pupils

PUPILS at a Capital school have received a special visit as part of an international link.

Edinburgh Academy Junior School pupils took part in ceilidh dancing and Highland games with Dutch children from the Noordwijk School today, as well as treating them to some Scottish food and drink – shortbread and Irn-Bru.

Head of upper primary at the school, Paul S Bertolotto, said: “As part of the primary six thematic focus on the Second World War, we take the children to Holland whereby they undertake numerous activities including a day in Amsterdam, a visit to Van Gogh museum, a visit to Anne Frank’s House and a school international link.”
