Dundee, world's smartest city?

DUNDEE is in the running to be named the most intelligent community in the world.

Global think-tank the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) praised Dundee's resilience after decades of industrial decline.

Judges highlighted Dundee's importance as a centre of excellence in digital media, gaming, software development and life sciences, and the important role played by its two universities.

The other finalists are Arlington County, Virginia, and Dublin, Ohio, both US; Eindhoven in the Netherlands; Ottawa in Canada; Suwon in South Korea; and Tallinn in Estonia.
