“The man – who was of Afro Caribbean appearance and in his early 30s – approached the girls while they were playing in the park at about 3pm. He tried to engage them in conversation but after getting short shrift he left in a small green-coloured four door car, heading down Spey Drive towards Mallaig Avenue.”

The man being sought is described as around 5ft 10ins tall with black receding hair. He was wearing a green body warmer over a black long-sleeved top, green or grey-coloured jeans, black shoes with a pattern on them and black sunglasses. He appeared to have a “squint’ left eye.

The force spokesman said: “ Anyone who knows this man or who has any information that could help to identify him, should call Police Scotland on 101, or speak to any officer. “
