Dundee girl attacked in park by rottweiler

AN eight-year-old girl has been attacked by a rottweiler dog in a park in Dundee.

The girl was taken for treatment in hospital after being bitten on the thigh, police said.

She was in Dawson Park, Dundee, at about 7.45pm on Saturday.

Police want to trace the owner of the dog and appealed to anyone in the area who may have seen the attack to contact them.

The dog, which was wearing a blue collar, is described as being black with a brown face and a long tail.
