Dunbar reunion to mark the end of an era

A REUNION to celebrate Dunbar's scouting legacy is being held on Saturday at the troop's soon-to-be demolished HQ.

Scouts past and present are invited to the celebration to be hosted in the Bleachingfield premises.

The hut, originally a parachute hangar at the RAF Drem airfield and donated to the town shortly after the Second World War, is set to be razed as part of East Lothian Council's development plans.

Dunbar scout leader Andy Napier said the get-together was to mark the "end of an era".

Mr Napier hopes older scouts bring photos and other memorabilia to share experiences with the younger members.
