Drugs pair targeted jail

A SHERIFF has called for social work reports on two men who smuggled drugs into a Lothians prison.

Stewart McAdam and Ian McDonald both took cannabis resin into Addiewell jail in West Lothian. At Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday McAdam, 37, of Larkhall, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug, while McDonald, 26, of Tayforth in Fife, admitted to the same charge at an earlier hearing.

Sheriff Gerald Warner told them: “Given the locus of the offences we’d better have reports.”
