Drug dealer tells court how he was glassed and stabbed

AN Edinburgh drug dealer who funded his crack cocaine habit by selling heroin has told how he was glassed and stabbed twice by the man who allegedly supplied him with drugs.

David Hoggan, 31, was giving evidence in the first day of a trial into allegations of three attempted murders and a serious assault in Dalry.

Wayne Alexander, 34, and his girlfriend Nikita Thompson, 26, deny being concerned in the supply of drugs. Alexander, a prisoner at Edinburgh, further denies attempting to murder Mr Hoggan in his home on May 25 last year by hitting him on the head with a glass and striking him on the body with a knife, all to his severe injury.
