Drug dealer is kicked out

A council tenant convicted of a string of offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act, including drug dealing, has been evicted from his property.

Scott Bennion, 41, who was at James Street, Musselburgh, was evicted after East Lothian Council gained a court order.

Councillor Stuart Currie, Cabinet Member for Housing and Community Safety, said: “This sends out a clear message that we will take action against our tenants if they are convicted of drug dealing in and around their home.”
