Drug dealer to fork out £37,000

A CONVICTED drug dealer has been ordered to hand over more than £37,000 of his ill-gotten gains.

A confiscation order for 37,310 was made against Gary Carroll at Dundee Sheriff Court under Proceeds of Crime laws.

The 45-year-old, from Dundee, was sentenced to three years imprisonment in March for dealing in heroin. Police found a stun gun, a gas canister and 3,240 in cash in his home, as well as five bags of a powder containing diamorphine.

Lesley Thomson, area procurator fiscal for Glasgow, said: "The actions of drug dealers like Gary Carroll bring untold misery to families across Scotland."
