Driving ban for soldier

AN army driver who did not have enough money for cab fare has been fined £335 and disqualified from driving for a year for drink driving.

Marcus Barnes intended to leave his car parked overnight after a drinking session. But when he realised he did not have enough money for a taxi home from the nightclub in Livingston he got behind the wheel to drive home and was stopped by police. Barnes, 18, pled guilty to drink driving at Livingston Sheriff Court.
