Drivers face speed blitz

POLICE are cracking down on speeding motorists in the Easter Drylaw area following complaints from residents.

Officers are taking action on drivers after the issue was highlighted by the Inverleith Clean, Green and Safe Group.

As well as tackling speeding, officers in the area identified parking around schools as another issue raised by residents as a “local priority”, while officers will also target off-licences in the community to ensure that they are not selling alcohol to under-18s.

Officers are continuing to focus on patrolling cycle paths and walkways in the area.
