Dog is killed in house blaze

A DOG has died in a house fire in West Lothian yesterday, which saw two men rushed to hospital.

The animal is thought to have perished as a result of smoke inhalation in the property on Mid Street, in the Deans area of Livingston.

Firefighters were called to the bungalow just before 11:45am yesterday to find it was already well alight.

They used breathing apparatus and two high pressure hose reels to tackle flames. Two adult males were taken to St John's Hospital, in Livingston, to be treated for the effects of smoke.
