Diamond deal at jeweller is best bra none

SCANTILY-clad models dressed in underwear and diamonds are set to launch a new economy-busting promotion by a city jeweller.

Gaynor Turner, owner of Macintyres on Frederick Street, is set to launch her Macintyres Loves You discount card for local businesses affected by the tram works and the economic downturn.

The glamorous jeweller is no stranger to bizarre stunts, having previously ambushed business giant Donald Trump to get a friend on to The Apprentice USA. She also recorded an advertising jingle for an Asian search engine.

Macintyres Loves You offers local businesses discounts on city centre services such as the Dominion Cinema, Le Monde, Townhouse Group Hotels, Emma Roy Wedding Dresses, Dickson Reid Hair, Canongate Studios and Odyssey Boutique.

Mrs Turner said: "I'm a great believer in the power of random acts of kindness, and I got so upset when I saw the devastation that the tram works and the recession were doing to local business that I wanted to help."

Macintyres Loves You will be launched at the Macintyres . . . Undercover event on November 30.
