Dealers stripped of £19,000

PROSECUTORS have stripped two drug dealers of almost £19,000 of illicit profits.

The Crown Office hit Francis Andrews and Colin Howat with confiscation orders for 10,881 and 8,000 respectively.

Andrews from Lennoxtown, and Howat, from Hamilton, both pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of drugs earlier this year, and were sentenced to five years and seven months each.

Lindsey Miller, of the Crown Office, said: "We will continue to target those individuals or groups seeking to spread misery by dealing drugs in Scotland."
