Dealer grew drug at home

A DRUG dealer was caught out after police discovered he was growing his own cannabis.

Andrew Brodie, 42, had set up a cannabis-growing system by planting the drug in an ice cream carton and Pot Noodle tubs. Police conducted an early morning search at Brodie’s home in East Linton, East Lothian, on December 30, 2011.

Brodie, who was jailed for growing cannabis seven years ago, was ordered to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work at Haddington Sheriff Court yesterday after admitting to growing the class B drug.
