Dealer drove into garden

A DRUG dealer led police on a car chase that ended when he crashed into a woman’s garden.

Livingston Sheriff Court heard the householder looked out of her window to see Craig Bennett’s Ford Fiesta skidding across her front garden.

Officers saw Bennett, 27, throwing cannabis away as he tried to escape. A search of his home in Bathgate, West Lothian, later uncovered £3000 of the class B drug.

Sheriff Grahame Fleming jailed Bennett for 14 months, disqualified him from driving for 15 months and ordered him to sit an extended driving test.
