Dead hillwalker is named as Edinburgh man

THE body of a hillwalker recovered from a Munro in Argyll has been identified as a pensioner from the Capital

Rescue teams and a helicopter crew scoured Ben Cruachen before discovering the body of Alexander Sproule, 74, on Sunday morning.

Mr Sproule was reported missing at about 9.30pm on Saturday after he became separated from his group on the 1126-metre peak near Loch Awel.

Strathclyde Police said the man was from the Edinburgh area.
