Dad thanks paramedic

A YOUNG dad has been reunited with an ambulance driver who talked him through the home delivery of his baby daughter.

Ian Lumsden, 23, described the moment he had to deliver his second child as the “best experience” of his life, as he and his partner met, and thanked, medic Bobby Garvie who guided them through the process.

Ian found himself having to take on the role normally reserved for highly-trained health professionals when his partner, Lindsay Murray, went into labour very quickly.

Over a whirlwind 20 minutes, Mr Lumsden successfully managed to deliver baby Olivia in the couple’s Whitburn home in West Lothian.
