Cyclist hurt in car collision

A CYCLIST has been treated in hospital after being knocked down by a car in the Old Town yesterday.

A 20-year-old woman was hit by the vehicle on Infirmary Street and was taken to ERI for treatment to a leg injury.

A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said the woman’s injuries were not serious.

Medics in a rapid response unit rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call just before 2pm.
