Cutting edge show gets a new catwalk

THE Edinburgh College of Art Fashion Show will return to the catwalk to celebrate the work of graduating students, but in a new home.

Edinburgh University’s Playfair Library will host one of Scotland’s largest fashion events, held over three days, for the first time to mark the college’s recent merger with the university,

The final 17 collections will include a range of designs inspired by comic book heroes, among other influences.

Student Louise Bennetts is one of only eight finalists recently nominated for the prestigious British Fashion Council Nicole Fahri Award.

Each multimedia performance will feature outfits from students studying fashion, performance costume and textiles.

Tickets for the show, which runs from May 23 to 25, will go on sale next Monday and cost £15, plus 50p booking fee. They can be purchased by visiting www.hubtickets.co.uk
