Cutout demo to safeguard Women's Aid

ACTIVISTS from Scottish Women's Aid gathered outside the City Chambers to demand an assurance that their funding will not be cut. Councillors Ewan Aitken and Norman Work (centre left and right) helped to display life-size cutouts representing women and children affected by violence.

Jo Ozga, Policy Worker at Scottish Women's Aid, said: "Dedicated funding streams such as the Violence Against Women's Fund and the Children's Services Fund provide on average 40 per cent of Women's Aid groups' funding."
