Curriculum in action

Headteachers from 26 countries are in Edinburgh for a conference on school leadership, during which they are being given a taste of Scotland’s new curriculum.

The conference, which got under way at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre yesterday, sees headteachers take part in a workshop which will explain the changes taking place in Scottish education, followed by visits to schools and colleges to see Curriculum for Excellence in action.

Education Secretary Mike Russell said: “I am sure they will be interested to see the most significant improvement in Scottish schools in a generation in action.”
