Cupid loves French dates

AN online dating agency based in the Capital has taken over a French rival in a £2.9 million deal.

Cupid, which has 54 million members in 58 countries and generated revenues of £53 m in 2011, has bought over Paris-based Assistance Genie Logiciel.

Cupid chief executive Bill Dobbie said: “The AGL business is a highly complementary addition to our current French portfolio, allowing us to become one of the largest French online dating businesses.”
